Metabolism: Can We Control It?
Body's metabolism is a unique process for each individual person. No two people metabolize food at the same rate therefore no two people have the metabolism. We all use our calories at different rates, with different results. Our metabolism, such as fingerprints are unique to each of us. But the need to understand and accommodate this metabolism is an issue that we all face.
The dictionary defines metabolism as the sum of all biochemical processes involved in life, or life-sustaining. In application concerning our health, metabolism is related to the recruitment and use of food. With reference to the case in point it is our ability to digest our food to the fullest extent.
Currently, the maximum results in increasing our metabolism come from exercise and building our muscle mass, while reducing our body fat. Adding more muscle in the body, in turn, makes us burn more calories, and this helps to elevate our metabolic rate.
Functions of our metabolism also depends on how well we take care of our nutritional needs. Some people have very high rates of metabolism. In other words, when you consume food, their bodies burned almost as fast as then consume. Then there are those of use who use our food intake so slowly, so you do not even notice that we are burning calories. These people who burn quickly are often slim and trim, people who burn more slowly are the people with a tendency towards obesity.
For years, people are looking for ways to increase your metabolic rate. If you can increase the metabolic rate of some, then you are better able to control the burning of calories, especially for overweight or obese people. This will make the goal of better or improved health a much easier reality for those people. Efforts to date have produced very few results. There are foods that we can consume that naturally raise our metabolic rate, but not greatly. what we need is a way to instantly change the pace. must be able to increase our metabolism to a point where it can be seen in fact an advantage.
This is where the effort to stay physically fit and active offers huge payment. During your life, if you stay active, exercise, and maintain optimal health for your muscles, you will see a huge difference in price that your body metabolizes food. As people age, their metabolism is slowed enough natural downward. The best way to prevent this from happening is through exercise and staying fit.
The best way to date to examine the process of metabolism is through proper diet, daily exercise, eating foods that are known to have an effect on our metabolic rate, and plenty of rest. The metabolic process can be indirectly controlled by the methods just discussed. Direct control is not available so far.
I believe that through careful analysis, exercise, and attention to the unique needs of each individual, could lead to a more natural balance of the metabolic burn vs. the calorie intake. At one level, wherein the optimum health and weight control are in equilibrium.
